Apple on Trial?
Electronics consumers are considering filing a class action lawsuit against Apple claiming that their new iPod Nano is defective and that the company attempted to conceal the problem and mislead consumers. Apparently Apple changed the formula of the iPod's protective plastic coating, resulting in a skin which scratches excessively under normal use (see photo). Lately, Apple has been quite the darling of the computer world, winning many awards and accolades for hardware designs such as the iMac, eMac, and the iPod. However, it appears that Apple cheaped out on this version of the iPod and it's going to come back to bite them on the butt. Have fun, Steve Jobs.
